INCENSE

The last three poems in Ontology of Blue were inspired by Dominican novices and student brothers during the time I was involved in Dominican formation. “Incense” reflects those prayers we offer to God. On this one occasion we were praying outdoors, the river flowing in front of us with birds singing, and the sun setting. We were united with all of creation giving praise and glory to God.
